Thomas W. Nabb

Thomas W. 'Scrappy' Nabb, age 53, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 in Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Susan (Normand) Nabb.

Born in Fall River, he was the son of Kenneth S. Nabb of Whitehall, MT and Eleanor M. (Penny) Wilson Hynes of Somerset. He was a longtime Somerset resident.

Tom was a graduate of Somerset High School and Rhode Island School of Electronics. An electrician, he worked for Brayton Point Power Station for 31 years until its closing.

Tom was a good man with a strong work ethic. He had a big heart and always made himself available to offer help to others. He was animal lover. You never knew when he would bring home some little creature who needed love and care. He was also a fishing enthusiast. His favorite hobby was playing his electric guitar.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his step-father, Harry V. Hynes, Jr., step-mother, Keiko Nabb, two sons, Jeffrey T. (Kyle) Nabb of Fall River and Stephen T. Nabb of Swansea, one daughter, Sherri L. Nabb of Somerset, one brother, David A. (Janet) Nabb of Woonsocket, RI, two stepbrothers, David S. Hynes of Fall River and Donald P. (Patricia) Hynes of Somerset, one stepsister, Julie A. Hynes of Venice, CA, half brothers, Kevin Y. Nabb of Oakdale, CA and Keith A. Nabb of River Falls, WI and a half sister, Karen Mayumi Nabb of Redmond, WA. Tom also leaves two grandsons, Jaxon T. Nabb and Isaac J. Nabb.

His visitation will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 Pm in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County Street, Somerset followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private. My condolences go out to the Nabb Family. I went to high school with Tom and we hung out and had many fun times. I haven't seen Tom in many years , but I remember him as a great guy. So sorry to hear of his passing at such a young age. May you find comfort in the good memories you have of him. God Bless.
