

Born in Fall River, a son of the late Thomas J. and Julia (Duchemin) Roussell, he had been a lifelong area resident. A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, class of 1947, he served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan. He worked as a Lineman, Cable Splicer, and Switchman for the former Nynex and New England Telephone and Telegraph.
He loved music, dancing, the ocean, skiing, wood working, cooking, and most of all spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife seven children; Nancy Smith and her husband Jeff of Fairhaven, Thomas A. Roussell Jr. and his wife Diane of Norton, Kim Cobourn and her husband Chris of Rockport, ME, Betsey Cole and her husband Bruce of Middleboro, Joan Tracey and her husband Michael of Fairhaven, John “Jack” Roussell and his wife Terri of Rochester, and Donna Romero of Assonet, one brother; Roger Roussell of Tiverton, one sister; Lucille Hadley of Fall River, fifteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Constance Keller.
Funeral Service Friday, August 5, 2011 at 8:30 AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at ROSE E. SULLIVAN 866 County Street, Somerset followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Bernard’s Church 30 South Main Street Assonet. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 PM.
