Vincent D. Kelley

Vincent "Vinny" Kelley, 73, of Westport (formally Somerset) passed away peacefully on May 1, 2013 after a long illness, surrounded by the love of his family. His loss will be felt by anyone who had the good fortune of knowing him.

Vincent was born in Fall River, MA to the late Daniel and Marie ( L'Italien ) Kelley. He was the beloved husband of 47 years to Janice ( Podolski) Kelley, loving father, hopelessly devoted grandfather and a good friend. He had worked as a Mill manager for Rothchild, former to his employment with the Somerset School department, before retiring.

Some of his other passions included traveling the world, the beach, gardening, his dog, treasure hunting at flea markets and being the best grandfather ever.

Aside from his wife, he was the loving father of daughters Karen Cachia (husband Micheal) and Kara Prario ( husband David); grandfather of Austin, Ethan, Samantha Prario and Erin and Heather Cachia; brother of the late Ann-Marie Sherman, Grace Lowney, and Madeline O'Leary; his best friend and nephew Robert Stacey; and his dog Poppy. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 2-6 at Waring –Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County St, Somerset, MA. His Funeral Service will be held at this location on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 12:00 noon to celebrate his life.
