

William L. Goodreau, age 70, of Somerset, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015 after battling a critical illness for over 2 years. He was the husband of Barbara C. (Malafronte) Goodreau formerly of Bristol to whom he has been married for the last 41 years.
Born in Fall River, a son of the late Harry E. and Camela M. (Imbriglio) Goodreau Bond, he lived in Somerset for 39 years.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, class of 1964, he served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War as an E-3.
Bill was a Master Electrician for the Local 99 in Cranston, Rhode Island for 30 years before retiring in 2002. He enjoyed reading, fishing and tying his own fishing flies, he was also a self-taught artist. He was a history and Bonsai enthusiast, loved all sports especially the Bruins and enjoyed spending time with his new grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Christopher W. Goodreau and his wife Diana of Fall River, Robin C. Cherenzia and her husband Brandon of Swansea, Greg L. Goodreau and his wife Darlene of Westport, and two grandchildren: Brighton Cherenzia and Liliana Goodreau.
His Funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 06, 2016 at 9:00AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County St., Somerset, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Louis de France Church, 56 Buffington St., Swansea. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00PM. Burial private.
