

Clara Mae Spear, age 83 of Princewick, entered into the gates of Heaven on Monday, May 19, 2014. Clara was born to John Williams and Martha Watson Williams on May 29, 1930 in Alva, Kentucky. She married Ronald Spear in 1960. She was a gifted homemaker and enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking, and reading her Bible. She was a lifelong member of Mitchell’s Ridge Missionary Baptist Church in Princewick. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Mr. Ronald Spear and also preceded by 15 siblings. Those left to carry on her legacy include her son, Jack Spear and companion Vicki Hundley; daughters, Jane Spear and Cleo Spear along with her companion Clyde Bailey all of Princewick; brother, Tom Williams and wife Pat of Greenville, WV; and also numerous nieces and nephews. Services to celebrate the life of Clara Spear will be conducted at 2pm Friday, May 23, 2014 at Williams-Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel in Sophia with Rev. James Oakes officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Prosperity. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
