

Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of Nilda Rodriguez and the late Jaime Conty.
Alanna was a graduate of New Bedford High School, class of 1996 and received an Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from Bristol Community College.
Alanna had a rewarding career as a medical laboratory technician, most recently working for St. Anne’s Hospital. She had a strong work ethic and passion for her job while helping others.
Alanna loved baking, dancing and shopping, especially for anything vintage. She enjoyed watching old episodes of Lucille Ball. Most of all, she cherished being able to host gatherings for her family and friends.
Surviving in addition to her mother, Nilda and companion Jose A. Fernandez, are her sons, Anthony Garcia and Jakiel M. Velazquez; her siblings, Chantal Carrion, Venus Mendez, Annette Conty and Jaime Conty, III; her granddaughter, Aria Marie Texeira; her paternal grandmother, Theresa Conty; her special aunts, Marisol Jorge and Evelyn Viera and special uncle, Santos Rodriguez, Jr.; her partner of 12 years Aaron Vaughan; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She leaves behind several Conty family aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Santos and Monserrate Rodriguez, her uncle Eddy Rodriguez and paternal grandfather, Jaime Conty, Sr.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth. Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home followed by burial in Rural Cemetery, New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, donations to her mother Nilda Rodriguez would be greatly appreciated.
