Anile May Perry

Anile M. (Gonzales) Perry, 92 of New Bedford passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026, in St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the wife of the late Paul V. Perry to whom she would have been married 71 years on July 4th.

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Margaret (Mitchell) and Charles Gonzales, she was a lifelong resident of New Bedford. She graduated from New Bedford High School, class of 1952 and prior to her retirement she was employed by the New Bedford Institute for Savings, retiring in 1996.

She was a life member of the DAV Chapter #7 Ladies Auxiliary in New Bedford, VFW Freetown Post # 6643 Ladies Auxiliary, Loyal Order of Moose Ladies Chapter #7, New Bedford, MA Auxiliary, AFSCME Public Employees Retires, Don Who’s Travelers of New England (formerly the Royal Travelers), Saint Mary’s Golden Age Club, Fairhaven and St. Theresa’s Senior Cub, New Bedford.

She is survived by her sister, Edna W. Cabral of South Dartmouth, and her brother Eugene F. Gonzales of South Dartmouth; and six nieces. She was the sister of the late Dolores R. Otley and Milton Stevens.

Her Visitation will be Monday, June 22, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth, MA 02748. Relatives and friends are invited. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 10:30AM in the funeral home with a burial at 1:30PM in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Lane, Bourne, Massachusetts 02542.
