

Anna Rose, born on April 3, 1933, in Naples, Italy, passed away on August 17, 2025, at the age of 92. A resident of New Bedford, Massachusetts, Anna was the daughter of the late Ciro and Nunziata (Maione) Angelini.
Anna came to the United States at the age of 14 and embarked on a long career as a stitcher in the local textile industry. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Donald M. Rose, who predeceased her in 1998. Anna is survived by her daughter, Linda Cunha, and was predeceased by her daughter, Catherine N. Mello. Her legacy includes her beloved grandchildren, Melissa Morin, Allison Shivers, Ashley Cunha, and Joseph Mello, as well as her great-grandchildren, Kylie, Camden, Kinsley, Ellie, Dean, Jovie, and Mia. She was also blessed with a great-great-grandchild, Isaiah. Anna was preceded in death by her grandchild, Stephen Wilson, and her siblings, Pasquale Angelini, Rose Sparado, and Consiglia Logozzo. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Anna's personal interests were deeply rooted in her family and simple pleasures. She adored spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild. She enjoyed watching game shows on television and was fond of trips to the casinos, playing slot machines, and scratch tickets. Her love for cooking, especially growing tomatoes for her sauce, was well known among her family and friends.
Visiting hours will be held at Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth, located at 230 Russells Mills Road, Dartmouth on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 9:00 am from the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Julie Billiart Church, 494 Slocum Rd, Dartmouth at 10:00 am. The burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, 664 Allen St, New Bedford.
Anna Rose will be remembered for her warmth, her love for her family, and her vibrant spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
