

Born in New Bedford, he was a son of the late Antone J. Oliveira Sr. and the late Aura (Moniz) Oliveira. He was a lifelong area resident, a graduate of New Bedford High School, and a Veteran of the Army seeing service during World War II. Mr. Oliveira was employed for 37 years as a printer for the New Bedford Standard Times, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, and enjoyed bicycling, sailing and camping.
He is survived by four sons, Edward J. Oliveira and his wife Deborah of Tallahassee, FL, Douglas C. Oliveira and his wife Maryanne of Edgewater, FL, Philip A. Oliveira and his wife Linda of NM, and Glenn D. Oliveira and his wife Judith of Westport, MA, two brothers Edward Oliveira of New Bedford, and Carl Oliveira of San Francisco, CA, six grandchildren Gregg Skelly, Stefan Oliveira, Glenn Oliveira, Meredith Suto, Derek Oliveira and Krisztina Oliveira, three great -grandchildren Maggie Skelly, Taylor Suto and Matthew Suto. Close friends John Armstrong and Nancy Giusti both of Dartmouth.
His Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 11am with visitation prior from 10-11am in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at DARTMOUTH, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth.
