Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Richard F. and Mary (Viera) Sylvia she was a lifelong area resident.
Brenda was a longtime real estate agent and also owned a tax preparation business known as “The Runaround Tax Service.”
She is survived by her daughter, Shelly Fitzgerald and her husband, Brian of Fairhaven; Three granddaughters, Laura Fraga, Kate Starvish and Sarah Fitzgerald of Fairhaven: a brother, Richard Sylvia and his wife Joan of New Bedford; and nephews, Scott Sylvia and his wife Lucy of New Bedford and Brian Sylvia and his wife Heidi of Campton, NH.
She is also survived by many friends too numerous to list who loved her and spent time with her during her last days
