

Christopher Jordan Canario, 22 of Dartmouth passed away Sunday, June 7, 2026 at St. Luke’s Hospital due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle crash. He was the loving son of Steven and Jennifer (Medeiros) Canario of Dartmouth.
Born in New Bedford, Chris lived his entire life in Dartmouth. He attended school in town and was a graduate of Dartmouth High School, class of 2023. After graduation he began his career working for the Town of Dartmouth Public Works as a laborer.
Chris loved his mom and dad dearly. He had a strong family background. For a young man, family was everything. Chris was full of life and vigor. He had a love of cars, following in his father’s footsteps. He was a member of the South Coast Young Marines and had attained the rank of Corporal. He enjoyed playing basketball and basketball 2k when not tossing the ball around. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping in Maine, ATV riding and music. Most of all he loved to talk. Anyone that knew him, knows just how much.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Rebecca Medeiros of Westport and Katelynn Canario of Dartmouth; two nephews, Austen Medeiros and Carter Brabant; his grandfather Edwin Reis and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the grandson of the late Janet Reis.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth, MA 02748. Relatives and friends are invited. His funeral will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 10:00AM in the funeral home followed by his burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Dartmouth, MA 02747.
