Born in Blaina, Gwent, Wales, a daughter of the late Albert W. and Gertrude (Williams) Nicklin, she had resided in New Bedford and the surrounding area since 1971.
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Dorothy cherished her friendships and will be sorely missed.
Survivors include her sons, Michael P. Warr of Stonington, Maine and Jeffrey C. Warr of West Salem, Wisconsin; her grandson, Gareth P. Warr; her brother, Derry Nicklin and his wife Christine and their children and grandchildren.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 11:30am in Grace Episcopal Church, corner of School and County Sts. in New Bedford followed by a reception at the church.
