Born in New Bedford and a lifelong resident, he was the son of Santos M. and Monserrate (Sud) Rodriguez of New Bedford.
"BB" was very well known throughout the community as a very generous, giving and kind man with a big heart of gold. He enjoyed browsing through flea markets and always gave gifts to his family and friends. He was loved dearly by all of his family and was a protective, funny and caring uncle to his nieces and nephews.
Surviving in addition to his parents is a son, Nicholas Abbott; siblings, Nilda Rodriguez, Santos Rodriguez, Jr., Marisol Jorge and Evelyn Viera all of New Bedford; and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 9AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth. Visiting hours Thursday from 5-8PM. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery. For online tributes and directions: www.waring-sullivan.com
