Kathleen "Kathy" M. O'Boyle

Kathleen (Kathy) was the beloved wife of Michael S. O’Boyle, with whom she shared 40 years of marriage. She was the daughter of Henry and Mary Ellen (Noonan) Kern.

For many years, Kathy worked for the Dartmouth Public School Department as a Monitor. She took great pride in caring for the children and making sure they were safe. Her compassion for children and dedication to their well-being were an important part of her life.

Kathy was a strong woman who faced many challenges throughout her life with courage, determination, and resilience. She was a fighter and a survivor who never stopped moving forward. Through life’s difficulties, she found joy in the things and people she loved most.

Kathy cherished her family above all else. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, going out to eat, history, music, movies, zoos, and a good cup of coffee. She had a fascination with the paranormal and enjoyed exploring all things mysterious. She also collected heart-shaped items and dolls, each reflecting her sentimental and caring nature.

Her family was the center of her world, and she will be remembered for her strength, her perseverance, her caring heart, and the love she gave to those around her.

In addition to her husband, Michael, Kathy is survived by her loving children, Michael Henry O’Boyle of Lunenburg, MA, and Colleen M. O’Boyle of Dartmouth; her brother, William Kern and his wife, Cathy, of TN; and many friends who will miss her dearly. She was the sister of the late Eileen Kern.

Kathleen’s life was not always easy, but she met its challenges with remarkable strength. Her memory will live on in the hearts of the family she loved so deeply and the many lives she touched along the way.
