Leffel Earl Kirkman peacefully passed away on December 7, 2025. Born on July 1, 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Leffel was one of five children. Growing up, he found joy in playing baseball, inspired by his childhood love for the St. Louis Cardinals.
Leffel proudly served in the United States military, including a tour in Vietnam, and was later stationed in Rhode Island. Over the years, he lived in many places - Tucson, St. Louis, Panama, Boston, and Clearwater. He spent the majority of his life in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, where he raised his two sons and built the life he cherished most.
Leffel is survived by his beloved sons, Chris and his wife Elysha, and Andrew and his wife Milina, as well as his brother Brian. He was preceded in death by his siblings Connie, Lou, and Dave, and by his parents, Vaughn and Ellen.
Nothing brought Leffel more happiness than time spent with his boys. He treasured watching them play sports, golfing together, cycling, and taking road trips - moments that brought him tremendous pride and joy.
In addition to being a devoted father, one of Leffel’s greatest sources of pride was his many years coaching and working with the Dartmouth Youth Soccer Association (DYSA), where he touched countless lives and formed lifelong connections.
In lieu of flowers, Leffel requested that donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation to support injured veterans. Contributions may be made at t2t.org.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd. Dartmouth, MA 02748. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private. To leave a note of condolence: www.waring-sullivan.com
