

Manuel was preceded in death by his parents Manuel Medeiros Santos and Evangelina (Sousa-Simas) Santos, and his brothers Jaime Santos, Edmund Santos and Oscar Santos.
Manny served in the Portuguese army in the 1950s and then came to America at age 27 to start his new life in New Bedford in 1960. He became a very proud citizen of the United States in 1970.
Manny spent many years working for Carol Cable Company and ultimately retired from New England Ropes. He found joy listening to classical music and almost always had a book in hand. An avid soccer fan, Manny passionately supported Sporting Clube de Portugal and enjoyed watching matches whenever he could.
Known for his love of storytelling, Manny had a knack for making those around him smile. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones.
Manny is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Eduina (Vargas) Santos, his daughter Stacy (Santos) Hill, son in law Jason Hill, and his greatest joys, grandson Brandon Hill and granddaughter Chloe Hill. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law and one brother-in- law along with many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
His Visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 9:00am – 10:30am at WARING-SULLIVAN HOME AT DARTMOUTH, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth, followed by a 11:00am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church, 795 Dartmouth St., Dartmouth. Burial in South Dartmouth Cemetery.
