

Michael Dennis Geddis, born on February 28, 1951, passed away on September 20, 2025, at the age of 74. Michael was a resident of Dartmouth, Massachusetts, and was known for his dedication to his family and his community.
Michael was born in Oak Bluffs, Martha's Vineyard, son of the late, Marshall and Elaine (Norton) Geddis. He spent his childhood in Florida and served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After his service, he lived most of his life on Martha's Vineyard.
In his professional life, Michael owned a successful house painting business. His work was respected and valued by those who knew him.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Christine E. Coleman-Geddis, his daughters, Magen Medeiros, Holly Hernandez, and Elicia Geddis. He also leaves behind his sons, Joshua Hammond, Jeffrey Scully and the late Derreck Coleman, and his sister, Natalie Conroy. His grandchildren whom he raised Sean and Keilla Geddis, as well as 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In his personal life, Michael had a passion for building models and enjoyed fresh pond fishing. Above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, as family was the most important aspect of his life.
Michael Dennis Geddis will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at 11:00 am in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth.
