Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late John C. and Antonina (Rapoza) Frias, she lived in South Dartmouth most of her life. She worked as a Hostess for the former Flaming Steak House in Dartmouth for 14 years. Mrs. Medeiros was an avid Red Sox fan, liked to play cards and especially loved spending time with her family.
Surviving: daughter: Joyce M. Gonsalves and her husband Daniel of South Dartmouth, sisters: Lidwina Medeiros, Alice Sylvia and her husband John, Helen Martins, Leonora Carvalho and her husband Joseph, all of Dartmouth, grandchildren: Daniel Gonsalves, Jr., Randy Gonsalves and Kerry Slinn, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late John C. and Frank C. Frias.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 9AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT DARTMOUTH, 230 Russells Mills Rd. Dartmouth followed by a funeral mass at 10AM in St. Mary’s Church, 783 Dartmouth St. Dartmouth. Visiting hours Monday 6-8 PM. Burial in South Dartmouth Cemetery.
