Born in Attleboro, MA the daughter of the late John and Janice (Rhind) Straker, she was a graduate of Barnstable High School and she went on to study at the Yale School of Forestry.
Penelope was the owner and operator of Straker Classics where she designed and published knitting patterns. For the past 30 years, she also owned and operated Penny Straker Gardens in Dartmouth. She enjoyed restoring antique houses from Westport to Dartmouth. She was a life long equestrian and animal lover. She was a passionate, devoted and loving mother to her 2 boys.
She is survived by her son John Radcliffe, and is predeceased by her son Peter Elwell Radcliffe.
