

He is survived by his devoted wife, Joan Knowles Bullard, and their four children: Deborah Bullard-Hodge, Peter Bullard Jr., Stephen Bullard, and Ellie Hurd. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren — Matthew Bullard, Stephanie (Bullard) Barbaretta, Ben Hurd, Peter Hurd, Woody Hurd, Morgan (Bullard/Hodge) Palmer, and Peter Bullard III, Step-grandchildren – Ben Harper, Lindsay Thurston and Anna Roberts — as well as three, soon to be four, great-grandchildren: Wilder Bullard, Penny Bullard, and Izzy Barbaretta.
Peter graduated from Harvard University and served his country as a Lieutenant Junior Grade in the United States Navy. He later managed the commercial loan division at the Bank of Boston, where he worked until his retirement in 1986.
A passionate and accomplished sailor, Peter earned numerous victories as a navigator aboard high-level racing yachts throughout his life. He also competed in car rallies across the Northeast, serving as co-driver and navigator. An avid rower, he logged more than 8 million meters on his Concept2 rowing machine.
A master of numbers, Peter approached everything he pursued with precision, intellect, and boundless curiosity.
