

Priscilla S. Freitas, 97, of Dartmouth, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Our Lady's Haven in Fairhaven. Born on December 30, 1928, Priscilla was a lifelong resident of Dartmouth, and her steady devotion to home and community remained a constant throughout her long life.
Priscilla was the daughter of the late Francisco Dias Freitas and Maria (Silveira) Freitas. She was also predeceased by her twin brother, Frank D. Freitas, Jr., and his wife Lucy. She is lovingly remembered by her beloved nephew and caregiver, Randall Freitas, as well as by several cousins.
With a quiet professionalism and a careful, diligent spirit, Priscilla built a working life marked by reliability and precision. She was employed as an accountant for Universal Industries and previously worked at Continental Screw.
Beyond her work, Priscilla’s love of music was a lasting source of joy and expression. She played the piano and organ, and she found enduring pleasure in the beauty and grandeur of opera and the symphony—interests that reflected a calm, appreciative nature and a lifelong openness to what is uplifting and refined.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026 from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth. Her Funeral will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 10:00 am from the funeral home followed by burial in South Dartmouth Cemetery at 11:00am.
