Rita Beauregard

Rita (Desrosiers) Beauregard, 83, of Dartmouth, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 surrounded by her family at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. She was the wife of the late Roger E. Beauregard with whom she shared 63 years of marriage and missed dearly.

Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late George and Yvonne Desrosiers, she had resided in Dartmouth for the past 63 years.

Mrs. Beauregard had worked as a tax preparer for The Tax Man for over 20 years.

Rita was the matriarch of the family and lovingly held everyone together. She and Roger enjoyed traveling the world and vacationing to her favorite Florida destinations. She was fond of arts and crafts and loved her cat Patches. She cherished the companionship of her friends at The Cedars. Most of all, Rita loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter Emma.

She is survived by her children, Douglas G. Beauregard and his wife Kimberly of Chester, MD and Doreen Medeiros and her husband Frank of New Bedford; her granddaughter, Emma Medeiros of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Norman, Robert and Donald Desrosiers.

Her Funeral will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 9am from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth followed by a Funeral Mass at 10am in St. Mary’s Church, 795 Dartmouth St., Dartmouth.
