

Ronald S. “Pinky” Parker, 60, of Dartmouth, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at St. Luke’s Hospital following a courageous month long battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Cindy Parker with whom he shared 39 years of marriage.
Born in Weymouth, a son of the late William Parker and Margaret Parker Force, now married to Jack Force of Abington. He spent his youth in Abington and had resided in Dartmouth for the past 28 years.
He was a graduate of Abington High School and attended Wentworth College. He proudly served in the United States Army.
Mr. Parker was the owner and president of the American College Planning Service. He previously worked for the New England Telephone Company for 17 years.
A champion golfer, Ronald was a member of the Hawthorn and Rochester Country Clubs where he held several titles. He was a member of the First Traditions Thursday night group in Wareham and the Friday night Big Book study in Mattapoisett.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother is his son, Ryan Parker and his wife Sarah of New Bedford; Hillary Parker of Westport, wife of Ron’s late son, Todd G. Parker; grandson, Levi William Parker of Westport; granddaughter, Avery Todd Parker of New Bedford; a brother, Richard L. Parker of Canton; and several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 9:30am in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth. Visiting hours Friday 4-8pm.
