

Roy was born in Ponta Delgada, St Michael, Azores and came to Massachusetts in 1975. A son of Gil and Lubelia (Ferreira) Aguiar. He was the long time beloved companion of Michael Sousa.
Roy graduated from University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and owned and operated Modular Steel Building (MSB), design/build in Providence. He was a true renaissance man. He was an amazing chef who loved to cook for family and friends. He also enjoyed reading and history, being outdoors, exercising and being a handy man for anyone who asked.
In addition to his companion and parents, he is survived by four siblings, Cecilia Oliveira of S. Dartmouth, Emanuel Aguiar and his wife Lisa of New Bedford, Ana Aguiar of Arlington, and Patty Stricker and her wife Leigh of Medford; special niece and nephew Lauren and Matthew; his beloved dog, Hazel; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial visitation Friday, March 20, 2015 4-8 p.m. in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME of MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at DARTMOUTH, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth, MA.
