Stella lived a vibrant and adventurous life. She worked as an international flight attendant for Northeast Airlines, a role that allowed her to fulfill her passion for travel and meeting people from all corners of the world. Stella began her work with the Thomas Dooley Foundation in Katmandu, Nepal as a volunteer in 1967 prior to becoming director of the program. She was presented with the Splendid American Award for stewardesses for her work serving the people of Southeast Asia of which she was the first recipient.
A woman of many interests, Stella found joy in gardening, reading, and connecting with family and friends. She especially treasured time with loved ones and made lasting memories through her world travels. Known for her grace, warmth, and a fondness for her evening martini, Stella embraced life fully and left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
