The son of James Owens Sr. and Claire Battles, Steven grew up in Texas. He was born August 29, 1957 in Fall River Massachusetts.
After High School Steven proudly joined the Army at the age of 17. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of Sergeant First Class, after serving 23 year’s.
Steven was a devoted husband to his wife Heidi of 45 years, who he loved beyond measures. He was also a one of a kind father and grandfather. Steven was a lover of music and could play the guitar like it was nobody’s business. He was also quite the artist, one of his many hidden talents.
Steven is survived by his wife Heidi Owens, Son’s Steven Owens, Mark Owens and Kevin Owens. Daughter Melanie Machado. Son in law Derek Machado. Daughters-in-law Victoria Owens, Christina Owens,Miranda Owens and 10 grandchildren.
His loved ones will remember him as a loving patient and strong man, who always put his family above himself.
