

Born in Dublin, Ireland a daughter of the late William and Rose (Farrelly) Ramsey she grew up there before coming to America in 1956.
Theresa initially moved to New York City where she became a die-hard Yankee’s fan. Theresa absolutely loved children. When she wasn’t taking care of her own, she cared for her grandchildren and extended family members. She will live on in everyone’s memories as the most devoted “Nanny” to her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan Bickmann and her husband Stan of Dartmouth; a son, Paul O’Brien and his wife Elizabeth of New Bedford; five grandchildren, Siobhan Bickmann, Rachael Houde and her husband Jamie, Ciara Tomasia and her husband Jay, Ian O’Brien, and Chloe O’Brien; two great grandchildren, Quintin Houde and Victoria Houde; her Goddaughter, Nora DuPont and her husband Jeffrey and their children Kevin DuPont and Hannah DuPont.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 10 a.m. in St. Julie Billiart Church, 494 Slocum Rd., Dartmouth followed by burial in St. John’s Cemetery, Allen Street, New Bedford. Visitation will be Tuesday 4-8 p.m. in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Road, Dartmouth, MA 02748.
