Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Anselm and Judith (Arseneault) Allain she was a lifelong resident of the city. Mrs. Weaver attended New Bedford Vocational High School and was a homemaker. She loved watching soap operas, knitting, reading and sewing clothing for her children.
She is survived by a son, Steven Weaver and his wife Denise of Westport; five daughters, Judith Oliveira of New Bedford, Jeanne Alves of E. Falmouth, Jo Ann Riviere and her husband Philip of New Bedford, Nancy Cassidy and her husband Robert of Carver and Susan Roderick and her husband Barry of New Bedford; a sister in law, Jeanne Swiszcz of New Bedford; sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; one step great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Milton Weaver, sister of the late Arthur Allain, and mother-in-law of the late Gerard Alves and Milton Oliveira.
Her Funeral Mass will be Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Bernard’s Church, 32 So. Main St., Assonet with visitation at the church from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial private. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
