Dennis-Anna B. Nagy, 89, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at Cape Cod Hospital. Born and raised in Duryea, PA, daughter of Frank and Mary Kashuda, she was one of 13 children and is survived by 3 brothers: Edward, John, and Vincent Kashuda and 5 sisters: Agnes, Lenore, Florence, Veronica and Yvonne.
She was married for 67 years to the late Joseph Nagy until his death in 2009. She is survived by her three children: Michael Nagy of Palm Harbor, FL, Ann Marie Downey and David Nagy, both of Watertown, CT. She was predeceased by her son Joseph Nagy of Sarasota, FL. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her 7 grandchildren: Michael, Kristen, Kevin, Scott, Keith, Kate and Liz. She was blessed to know and love numerous great-grandchildren.
Most of her life she lived in Watertown, CT, but retired to winters in Stewart, FL, and summers on Cape Cod. She received her nursing degree from University of Bridgeport, in CT, and was a CCU nurse at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, CT, and later at Port St. Lucile's Hospital in FL.
Besides keeping a spotless home and being a great cook, Anna kept herself busy traveling, gardening, and making trips to the casino. She was passionate about her family and was a natural caregiver. She most importantly was a devout Catholic.
Anna's funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of the Cape in Brewster, MA, on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association or the VNA of Cape Cod.
