Beatrice Lillian Fortin

Beatrice Lillian Fortin, 88, of Dennis, Massachusetts, passed away on October 16, 2026. She Born on February 28, 1938, in Brockton, Massachusetts. Beatrice lived a life marked by steady devotion to family, sincere integrity, and a quiet kindness that was felt by those who knew her.

Beatrice attended L.Z. Thomas Grade School in Hanson, Massachusetts. Later in life, with characteristic diligence and determination, she earned her Associate’s degree from Fisher College in Hyannis—an accomplishment that reflected her strong work ethic and her commitment to bettering herself through perseverance. For many years, Beatrice worked as a clerk at Cuffy’s in West Dennis.

In 1969, Beatrice married the late Ernest Fortin. Together they built a family and shared many meaningful years, including fond memories of camping. She was a devoted mother to her two sons, Ronald Fortin and Roland Fortin, and took deep pride in the family that grew around her.

Beatrice spent her treasured time with friends—dancing, socializing, and sharing laughter and companionship, and in her later years, Beatrice enjoyed playing golf. She also took special care of her Jeep Cherokee, which she loved, tending to it with the same attentiveness and pride that she brought to so many parts of her life.

Beatrice is survived by her sons, Ronald Fortin and Roland Fortin; her four grandsons, Daniel Fortin, Brad Fortin, Chad Fortin, and Christopher Fortin; six great-grandchildren; Her sister Carol Paratore; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Ernest Fortin; her sister, Janet Weeks; and her brothers, Richard Freden and Thomas Dawson.

Visiting hours for Beatrice will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026 at Doane, Beal and Ames Funeral home 729 Route-134, S. Dennis, MA 02660 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Beatrice will be remembered with gratitude and respect for the goodness she carried, the effort she gave without fanfare, and the honest, caring presence she brought to her family and friends.
