Betsy Patsavos

Betsy Patsavos, 66, died after a lengthy illness at the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich on February 1, 2011. Born in Norwood, she was raised in Cambridge and met her future husband while still a child. After graduation from high school, she completed business and secretarial courses and began a career as an executive secretary primarily in the Insurance industry.

She is survived by her husband Chris with whom she enjoyed 45 years of marriage. She also leaves her sons, Jonathan and wife Caroline of Boston, Nicholas and Crystal of E. Sandwich as well as her granddaughter Sophie and grand dog Buffy.

Betsy and Chris moved to the Cape in 1975 following his retirement. She was an avid animal lover and Boston sports fan and will be remembered as a warm, outgoing person who left her mark on everyone she touched.

Visitation will be on Friday February 4, 2011 from 10:30 – 11:30am at the Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Rt. 134 S. Dennis, MA 02660. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at the conclusion of the visitation. Interment will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, S. Dennis.
