Carole Martha Still, 83, of Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026, due to heart failure. Born on July 6, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Jack and Martha Bomach, Carole lived a life defined by warmth, devotion, and an unwavering love for her family.
Carole married the love of her life, Dennis Still, and together they shared 56 wonderful years of marriage. Side by side, they raised four children while building a life of hard work and shared ambition. The couple first operated a real estate company in Michigan, where Carole served as the office manager. They later purchased a hotel in Provincetown, Massachusetts, which they ran together for more than twenty years before retiring at a young age. In retirement, Carole and Dennis embraced their love of travel, with Hawaii holding a special place in Carole's heart.
Known for her warm heart and beautiful smile, Carole was an incredible cook who cherished the holidays and the chance to gather loved ones around her table. She was an avid painter, devoted reader, and skilled knitter. She loved spending time at the beach and was deeply involved in her church community in every town she called home.
Carole was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dennis; her parents; and her sister, Patricia Sverid. She is survived by her sister, Lori Pope; her sons, Dennis Still Jr. and Jack Still; her daughters, Heather Cedrone and Linda Wever; and their families.
A woman of deep and abiding Christian faith, Carole now rests in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 9, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Route 134, South Dennis, Massachusetts 02660. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 10, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Cape Parish in Brewster, Massachusetts 02631.
