January 26, 1926 – June 22, 2019
Corinne (Nagle) Strianese, 93, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019 at her home in Dennis surrounded by family. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward S. Strianese, with whom she shared 54 loving years of marriage until his passing in 2005.
Born in Troy, NY, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna Nagle. Corinne was a graduate of Ballston Spa High School, and then went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree from Middlebury College. She and Edward married in 1951, and resided in Armonk, NY for over 57 years where she raised her family until she moved to Beacon, NY. Corinne spent time between her home in Beacon and her home on Cape Cod in South Dennis.
Corinne was a devout Catholic; attending church was important to her. She will always be remembered as a great mom that loved to be involved with her children's passions and interests. She formed many close relationships with her children's friends over the years, and always opened her home to them. Corinne loved to watch sports, particularly the New York Yankees, and was known to call in to various sports radio stations under an alias. She also enjoyed skiing, golf, and was a financial wiz. Above all, family was most important to Corinne, especially her two granddaughters.
She is survived and will be deeply missed by her three children, Nancy Strianese and her partner Edward Rios of Chicago, IL; Edward "Ned" Strianese of Burlington, VT; and Thomas "Tom" Strianese and his wife Elizabeth "Liz" of Wappingers Falls, NY; as well as two granddaughters, Hannah and Edith Rae Strianese.
In addition to her husband, Edward, she was predeceased by her two brothers, John "Jack" Nagle, and James "Jim" Nagle.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, June 26th from 5 to 7 p.m. and Thursday, June 27th from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Rt. 134, South Dennis, MA. Her Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 27th at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Cape Church, 468 Stony Brook Rd, Brewster. Burial will take place privately, at the convenience of the family. My Uncle Ed was living with us when first realized he was going to marry Corinne, took her to meet us and we clicked it off from the beginning. Only six & 1/2 years between our ages so always tought of her as a friend and never did call her Aunt because of this. We
were always pretty close especially when they lived here in Brooklyn and saw each other on a regular basis. When her & Uncle Ed had Nancy their first born, my mom, dad & I use to enjoy babysitting her. Memories are many & will never be forgotten. When they moved to Armonk we spen all our Thanksgivings there with them. Corinne w& Uncle Ed too will always be remembered..
Be happy back with Uncle Ed and at peace./
Your loving "niece" Jeanne (Always respected you as Aunt even though never called you that.
I could go on and o being the great talker I am, but will stop now..
One more thing Corinne, love to Uncle Ed.

Dear Nancy, Ed, Ned, and Tom. I am so glad I was able to spend some time recently with your beloved mom. She was, and always will be, the best. So cute, so smart, so penetrating, but always kind. And so generous. I always thought of her as my second mom and regret we didn't get to spend more time together. But she will be, as you all are, forever in my heart. God bless, and carry her memory with a smile, always. Love, Chris
