Daniel J Murphy

Daniel John Murphy, a graduate of Saint John’s High School (1992) and the College of the Holy Cross (1996), passed away unexpectedly at his home in Springfield. Dan was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. Most recently, Dan worked at MassMutual, continuing to pursue a career in the insurance industry and related data analysis. Dan was a passionate and die-hard Holy Cross Crusaders fan, following his college teams, and attending many basketball and football games.Also a devoted Boston sports fan, Dan loved nothing more than watching a Red Sox or Celtics game. Dan will be sorely missed by everyone he met. Dan leaves behind parents, James and Angela, sisters, Noreen and Julianne,and brothers, Mark and Mike. Dan also leaves behind sisters-in-law Shannon (Mark) and Laura (Mike) and brother-in-law Andy (Julianne), and nephews, Andrew and Tim (Mark) and Sam (Julianne) and niece, Ellie (Mark). Visting hours will be held at the Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home 729 Rt 134 S. Dennis on Friday May 25 from 6-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Cape Church Stony Brook Rd Brewster Saturday May 26th at 9am. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial to follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery Harwich Ma
