
Born in New York City, the daughter of the late Eric H. and Lillian M. (Lucas) Lundgren, she was raised in Worcester, MA and graduated from the former High School Commerce. Dorothy attended Upsala College in East Orange, NJ. She began working for General Electric Credit Corp. in Worcester in 1954 and later transferred to their main headquarters in New York City where she was Executive Secretary to the Treasurer before returning to Worcester in 1961. She then worked for Crompton & Knowles Corporation for 15 years in the Industrial Relations Dept. and International Division until she moved to South Dennis in 1975 where she was Office Manager of the Paul Dubin Company, Inc. of Centerville for 22 years until she retired in 1998.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in South Harwich, Stella Chapter #3 of the Order of the Eastern Star in Worcester, the American Association of Retired Person, and the Dennis Pines Niners Golf Association. She was also a Notary Public.
Survivors include a niece, Allyson J. Winter of Lake Jackson, TX, a nephew, Todd C. Lundgren of London, England, and grandnieces and grandnephews and her Bichon Frise, Callie.
A calling hour will be held on Friday, March 3 from 2-3 pm at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Harwich with a service beginning at 3:00 pm. Interment will conclude at Oak Ridge Cemetery, South Dennis.
