Edith M. Jones

Eadie is survived by her husband, Robert of 64 years, brother Wilfred Taylor of Belmont and sister Grace Tyler and husband Herbert of Maine, son Kenneth Jones and wife Janice of Bridgewater, MA and their three children, daughter Kathleen DeMeyer and her husband John of Dennis and their two children. She is predeceased by her son Marc Jones. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Eadie, originally from Cambridge, MA, spent her early years working for Harvard University. After retirement, she and Bob moved to Dennis, MA. Eadie became instantly involved in activities at Our Lady of the Cape Church in Brewster serving in many ministries including Eucharistic Minister, The Ladies Guild, Thrift Shop, Decorating Committee, Loaves and Fishes, Bingo as well as any other activity that involved the kitchen. She was also the Recipient of the Marian Medal. She loved playing Mahjong with her pals on Wednesdays as well as card games on Friday night.

She will be missed by many friends she made along her journey.

Visitation will be held at Doane, Beale and Ames Funeral Home, Rte. 134, South Dennis on January 31, 2014 beginning at 8:30 at the funeral home with Mass at 10AM at Our Lady of the Cape Church, Stoney Brook Road, Brewster. Burial at the National Cemetery in Bourne.
