Frank Joseph Brignoli

Born in Brooklyn, NY on July 5, 1923, he was a son of the late Fanny and Frank Brignoli Sr. Frank grew up in Mineola, NY, and graduated from Roslyn High School with the Class of 1941. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during WWII. Frank graduated from Georgia Tech in 1950 with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. He spent the majority of his adult life working overseas as a Civil Engineer for various Aerospace companies where he built the American Complex in Iran, as well as American housing in Saudi Arabia. It was during his time spent working in Iran for Grumman Aerospace Corp that he met his wife, Christine.

Frank had a passion for photography and golf. He also enjoyed smoking his pipe. His kind and generous nature will be deeply missed by those that knew him.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Michelle Shortle and her husband Bob; grandchildren, Scott Pfeil and his husband Jamie, Bobby Shortle and his wife Karen, Lindsay Shortle, and Kelli Montalbano and her husband Joe; great-grandchildren, Joey Licata, Christopher Montalbano, Bryce Shortle-Magee, and Desmond Shortle; as well as a sister, Marie Skurla.

In addition to his wife, Christine, he was predeceased by a daughter, Kathleen Laina; a son, Frank J. Brignoli III; three brothers, John, Michael and Robert Brignoli; a sister, Josephine Riciutti; and his wife, Patricia Brignoli, the mother of his 3 children.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, all services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frank's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the ASPCA, or the Alzheimer's Association.
