

BREWSTER- George Nichols, Jr., 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at The Woodlands Assisted Living in Brewster. He was the beloved husband of Nancy V. Nichols, with whom he shared many loving years of marriage.
Born in Rochester, NY on May 11, 1931, he was the son of the late George and Mary Nichols.
George spent many years working as a driver for Brewster’s Council on Aging where he was awarded “Driver of the Year” and accepted with pride. He was an avid walker and logged many miles on the streets of Brewster.
In addition to his wife, Nancy V. Nichols, he is survived and will be deeply missed by their sons, Arthur Nichols and his wife Kathy, John Nichols and his wife Linda, Alex Nichols and his wife Molly, and Pete Nichols and his wife Marybeth; nine grandchildren, Austin, Brittany, Jordan, Tessa, Max, Emma, Chloe, and Johnny Nichols and Kayla Lanahan; two great-grandchildren, Layne and Rya Gerard; and a sister Angeline George; as well as many nieces and nephews in the Rochester, NY area.
George was predeceased by his sister, Susan Steblenko.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, November 14th from 10-11 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Centerville. His funeral service will follow at 11 AM inside the church. Burial will take place at 1:45 PM in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
