Harry "Bud" Bellmar

Harry “Bud” Bellmar, 62, of Dennis Port, passed away on June 12, 2016. He is the beloved husband of Lorraine R. (Berghaus) with whom they have shared 34 years together. Bud was born in Southington, CT and grew up in Western Massachusetts before settling on Cape Cod. He attended Cathedral High School and graduated from Tantasqua Regional High School in Sturbridge, MA class of 1971. Bud then went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from UMass Amherst. After a 20 year career in information technology with State Street Corporation and Citi Street, LLC he retired as a Senior Vice President of Information Technology from ING North America. In addition to his love of spending time with his family and friends, Bud’s other passions were golf, wood carving and fishing. He was a long standing member of Dennis Pines and Dennis Highlands Golf Clubs. He always loved a good game of golf on Cape Cod and during the winter months in Stuart, FL. During inclement weather, much of his time off the course was spent carving in his “second home,” the backyard shed. Bud loved boating, a good cook out, and the beauty of the outdoors.

Bud is also survived by his son Jeffrey Bellmar of Dennis Port, his daughter Jennifer Bellmar and her fiancé Jonathan Ramzell of Enfield, CT and his siblings: Tim Bellmar of Harwich, Bob Bellmar and his wife Sandy of Yarmouth Port, and Maureen Bellmar of South Dennis. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as his beloved dog Mac.
