Born in Somerville, the daughter of the late John Alfred Hinde and Julia Mary (Brady) Hinde, she was raised in Somerville and attended St. Joseph’s School. She was known for her keen sense of humor and her ability to befriend all that she came in contact with. A true Boston sports fan, Honoria also enjoyed trips to the casino, playing bingo, bowling, and volleyball. In recent years she enjoyed life at Thirwood Place in South Yarmouth.
The beloved wife of the late James W. Carroll, Jr, she was the devoted mother of Laurie Canning and her late husband James of West Dennis, Michael Carroll and his husband Joe of Niceville, FL, and Mark Carroll and his wife Carolyn of Costa Mesa, CA, and the cherished grandmother of Sawyer Carroll. In addition to her children, Honoria is survived by her sister Joan Feener of North Dartmouth; her nieces Cheryl Shoemaker and Jerilyn Laing, and her best friend Kay Follett.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Honoria’s family on Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 10 AM – 12 Noon at the Doane, Beal, & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Rt. 134, South Dennis. A brief prayer service will be held at 12 Noon.
