Janet M O'Boyle McManus

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Bernard McManus. She was the loving mother of Maureen Moore of Melrose, Kathleen Sierak and her husband Daniel of Melrose, Brian McManus and his wife Kathleen of Barrington Hills, Ill., and Dennis McManus and his wife Elizabeth of San Mateo, Calif.; cherished grandmother of nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister of Florence Maglione of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and Frances Miller of Syracuse, N.Y.

A graduate of Saratoga Springs High School, she lived in Albany N.Y., and Utica, N.Y., for many years before retiring to Brewster, Mass., in 1978.

In Brewster, she was active in the Garden Club, served as president of the Women's Guild at Our Lady of the Cape Church in Brewster, and was a member of the Captain's Golf Course.

A funeral Mass will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, March 19, 2010, at Our Lady of the Cape Church, 482 Stoney Brook Road, Brewster. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Friday, March 19, at Doane, Beal and Ames Funeral Home, Route 134, South Dennis (near Airline Road), following the funeral Mass.
