Joelle was a good friend. I've worked with her, laughed with her and had great conversations. I loved her sense of humor. She was a fighter but the battle was too big. I will miss her. Nursing has lost one of its finest. She is truly a great loss to her husband, John, and family.

I am very sorry to hear of Joelle's passing. Although I knew her for a short time, she became very dear to me. I consider myself lucky to have met her and have her be a part of my life. She was a fighter, a beautiful woman-inside and out. We would often have conversations about John, she loved so him dearly and was so proud of all that he had taken on to help her. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time. Tammy, RT, Eagle Pond

Joelle was a warm-hearted, fun-loving friend and she will be sadly missed by
family and friends. I met Jo at boarding school in India and we kept in touch
through the years, sharing the joys of being a Mum and Gran. My deepest sympathy goes to John and family. I hope it comforts you to know Joelle's kind spirit will live on. - she was a very special person. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Babette Drummond, Gisborne, New Zealand.
