John Edward Krikorian

John E. Krikorian of S. Yarmouth, MA passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025 after a two year battle with aggressive and incurable small cell carcinoma. John fought hard and was given a prognosis of less than 6 months in 2023 but managed to display incredible strength, courage and endurance through various treatments to prolong his life as long as he was able. John attended Cape Cod Tech for two years for marine mechanics and graduated from Nauset High School in 1984. Since then, he had a very successful and rewarding career as a licensed general contractor. Highly skilled in woodworking, he was contracted by many businesses and homeowners throughout Cape Cod including many projects for Hy-Line cruises in Hyannis, working with Old Village Builders and even Chatham Yacht Basin as a mechanic. John was extremely skilled with fine carpentry as well as mechanics and never met an engine he couldn’t rebuild or fix. His hobbies were working on and racing his treasured 1966 Chevy Nova SS, even winning first in his class at the New England Dragway’s Super Chevy Show in 1998 and continued to be rewarded with many other trophies over the years.

His second love began in 2001 when he first took his Banshee (ATV) to Glamis, California to ride the Imperial Sand Dunes. He continued to go to Glamis throughout his battle with cancer, determined to live his life to the fullest. John is survived by his older sister, Maria Krikorian-Jalbert and her husband Christian Jalbert, his younger brother, Joe Krikorian, his Niece, Jessica Krikorian, Nephew, Neil Connell, his Uncle, Paul Krikorian, Uncle Edward and Aunt Tessa McBride and great-nephew, Mason Sztuka. He was predeceased by his Mother, Rosemary Krikorian (McBride), Father, Neil Krikorian as well as his Aunt Althea Krikorian

Calling hours will be held at Doane Beal and Ames on Rt. 134 in Dennis on Thursday, September 11th from 5-7pm. A celebration of life and a Hot Rod Cruise will be held at a later date. His family has created a John Krikorian Memorial Educational Fund to benefit his neighbor, Fiona O’Neill (4yrs old), daughter of Jon & Althea O’Neill, who stole his heart and brought him joy every single day while he fiercely battled his diagnosis. He will be incredibly missed.

In lieu of flowers or a donation to a specific charity, our family believes that John would want any kind of generosity to benefit his sweet 4-year-old neighbor Fiona and be able to help make a lasting impact on her life, just as she did for him. All proceeds will be put into an investment account for her to use for college (or the like) when she turns 18 as a final gift from John to this little girl who made his days so much brighter and gave him so much love and strength as he battled with terminal cancer.
