Charleston - Kim A. Clement passed away on October 16, 2022 in Orleans, MA. He was 56. Kim was born and raised in Charleston, Maine. He loved his family and cherished the time he could spend with his darling grandson, Gregory. He had a special talent for training dogs, and his beloved dog Lucy was a constant companion. Kim was an accomplished woodsman and carpenter. His early professional years were spent primarily in the woods of northern Maine, but more recently life on the Cape suited him. He enjoyed exploring beaches and conservation areas with his partner, Jamie, and even took up birdwatching. He started his own contracting business, specializing in building decks and outdoor showers. Kim had a need for speed. He loved all forms of outdoor motor sports—boats, jet skis, snowmobiles, and ATVs. In recent years he could be found whizzing through Nickerson State Park on his e-bike, stopping to chat with folks he met along the way. His sparkling blue eyes, warm smile, and easy banter won him many loyal friends. Kim had a tremendous heart, and was happiest when helping others.
The son of Fredrick and Mary Clement, Kim is survived by his companion Jamie Demas, and his son Casey, Casey’s companion Victoria Shumaker and their son Gregory, from Corinth. He also leaves siblings George Clement and Johnna, James Clement and Mona, Theron Clement and Vicki, Paula Smith and Barry, all of Charleston; and Beverly Woody and James of North Carolina; several nieces, nephews and cousins; former wife Leisa Scribner and her children Dannielle Ingram, Jasmin Vorhes, Jarrett Vorhes; and longtime friend Marcia Sassoon.
He was predeceased by his parents, former wife Gidget Breau, son Gregory, brother Fredrick, and sisters Ada Nason and Freida McLaughlin.
A gathering for family and friends to celebrate Kim’s life will be held October 30 at the Charleston Community Center, 125 School Rd in Charleston Maine, from 1:00 to 4:00.
