Kim was born on June 20th, 1966 at the Chelsea Naval Hospital to Diana (Somes) Tipping and the late Francis Anthony Tipping Jr. of the U.S. Navy, a retired patrolman for the Boston Police Department and late veteran of the Vietnam war. She graduated from West Roxbury High School, class of 1984 where she was a proud Navy Junior ROTC cadet. She loved her father dearly and was very much daddy’s little girl.
Kim was the most understanding, loving, kind, caring, and compassionate person who was always there for everyone no matter the circumstance. She truly made this world a better place and was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Kim was passionate about advocating for those without voices and selflessly helping others in need. She cherished her family, the beach, the ocean, and soaking in all of life’s natural beauty.
Kim was the beloved and treasured mother to her son Robert Carmen Kenney Jr., his fiancé Michelle Collins, and her grandson Robert Carmen Kenney III of Beverly; and her daughter Kimberly Ann Kenney, her husband Jorge Antonio Galvez Kenney, her granddaughters Kimberly Ann, Sophia Grace Galvez Kenney, and her unborn granddaughter of East Sandwich. She could not have been more proud of them and her babies were her whole entire world.
Kim is also survived by her sister Mary Ellen (Tipping) Patrick and her husband, Kim’s brother-in-law, Jeffrey Michael Patrick of Dennis Port; her sister Stephanie Tipping of Yarmouth; and her brother Francis Tipping.
A Celebration of Life memorial service is scheduled for June 14th, 2025, from 3pm to 5pm at the Doane, Beal, and Ames Funeral Home in South Dennis, located at 729 Route 134. Family and friends are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, Kim would have loved for donations to be made in support of animal welfare and wildlife organizations.
