We miss you so much. I hope this picture is evident of where you may be with Chip.

You don’t remember me, but I worked with your mom for well over 20 yrs. We were friends, we were committed to our patients, and we were there for each other when we needed help; be it emotionally or
whatever. She offered more than me I think. 
Your mom and I lost touch when I stopped working, I would bump into her occasionally and she was always the same- happy to talk, happy to tell me something to make me smile, happy to tell me about you. 
I didn’t know she was sick, and I am sorry to have missed the chance to help care for her, as she did for so, so many.  I hear her laugh when I think of her, and I know she is laughing , finally happy ever after.   My deepest condolences, Lynda Branagan -Greco


I was very sorry to hear the news! I worked with Kris for many years in the ER at CCH.  She was always laughing and had a great sense of humor; very friendly and always helpful!  I sure have great memories of her and Dan.  God bless her always!  



I worked with Kris for many years in the Emergency Dept at CCH. She always had a smile for us as well as for the thousands of patients she took care of.  She was the backbone of the original Urgi Center. She will be missed

She was one in a million. Worked at CCH ICU nights in the 1980s with her.
So smart, so kind, such a great team player!
To a group of us back then she was known as "Miss Kitty " for reasons that escape my memory at the moment 😊.
She will be missed here on earth and I'm sure she is busy caring for all those around her in Heaven!

I met Kris many years ago working in the CCU at Cape Cod Hospital. She was devoted to her patients and to her family and friends. We met again while working at Eagle Pond in South Dennis where she continued to give her best to her patients and to her colleagues.

Kris was a wonderful person and nurse. May she now be at peace and free from suffering.

My sincerest condolences to all of her family and friends.

Kris is a great friend and great nurse . She has taken care of me many times at CCH . Then many years later I was working at Eagle Pond ,we were told a new 11-7 nurse was starting and Kris walks in I looked at her and said I know you from the hospital you have taken care of me ,we have been friends since when she worked weekends we talk and catch up with things that were going on in our lives . Kris would talk about her Grandsons who she adored . My Grandson Joseph made this picture of Mickey for Kris because she recently lost Dan .She wanted me to take a picture to show Joseph how it made her happy and told me to tell Joseph she will treasure it always. Kris so many people lives you have touch in so many ways you are going to be missed so much!!!

I met Kris O'Connell 29 years ago when she worked at the Cape Cod Hospital in the ER with my ex-husband.  I was starting a small business doing taxes and bookkeeping service and Kris was one of my first tax clients.  Through the years I had the pleasure of getting to know her sons, Danny and TJ.  Kris was an amazing, devoted Mom, grandmother, friend and nurse.  Through the years we became friends and have been through the good, the bad and the ugly together sharing laughter and tears.  Kris always put everyone else before herself and drew pleasure from seeing someone else happy.  She would never slow down to just enjoy life, she found pleasure in continuing her job as an RN nurse, even at 79. 
I will forever miss Kris and her annual call "are you ready for me" at tax time.  2023 Tax season will be sad when TJ comes, and her final return is done and that is when the reality sets in that I will no longer see my friend.
RIP my friend your job on earth is done, it is time for you to join Danny in heaven.  I know at night when I look to the heaven you will be the Lords bright star.

When Kris was an emergency room nurse at Tobey Hospital , I was a cop in Wareham and Chip was just a toddler, she had a supervisor that hated me and told me that Kris wasn’t a good nurse because she got too involved with her patients. I told that lady, over 50 years ago, that  thousands of people will know her name when she dies , and no one will remember the supervisor. Kris was a wonderful mother and devoted friend. It’s no accident her oldest son was a first responder and  so respected. 
When Chip first had cancer and we had a fund raiser at Chapin’s I told him he was attending his own funeral. As big as it was , I said multiply it by 10. That’s how many people love Kris O’Connell. 
Rest in eternal peace , Kris. 
You deserve it. 
I hope there is a heaven and you are with Chip.
