
Larry graduated from Concord New Hampshire Business College and the University of New Hampshire, where he met his wife, Mary. Larry also served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II in England, France, Belgium, and Germany as an Air Traffic Controller
Larry was employed by General Electric Company as a Finance Manager in Schenectady, New York and in Lynn, Mass for 40 years. Larry was also a Member of GE Elfun Management Society. Mary and Larry resided in Wakefield, Mass for almost 25 years and retired to Cape Cod (Dennis) in1983.
Larry is survived by his three daughters: Catherine Ellis and her husband Kent Stewart of North Carolina, Peggy Ellis of Texas, Ginny Clapp and her husband Neil of Wilmington, Mass. and his son Robert and his wife Joan of Lynn, Mass. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great grandson.
Larry was very creative and enjoyed wildlife, bird carving, and relief wood carving. Many of his works have been displayed in the Dennis Public Libraries.
Visiting hours will be held at Doane Beal and Ames Funeral Home, 729 Rt. 134, South Dennis at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, October 1. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Cape Church in Brewster .
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Special Olympics Society (specialolympics.org), the Dennis Public Library system, or a charity of your choice.
