
Dennis, died on Monday, June 17, 2013 after a brief illness.
Born on May 4, 1920 in Lochwinnoch, Scotland, she was the daughter of
the late Thomas and Catherine (Arthur) Burton. In 1926, she
immigrated with her parents to Fitchburg, MA. She graduated from
Fitchburg High School in 1938.
After high school, she went on to work for the Fitchburg Gas and
Electric Company, where she met James M. Revell. They married in 1941
and raised their three children in the Fitchburg area. In 1973,
Margaret and Jim retired and moved to South Dennis.
In 1999, she lost James, the love of her life. She went on to be
recruited by the Visiting Nurses Association to work as a volunteer at
the Thriftique Shop in Yarmouth. She was as proud of her work there
as she was of her Scottish Heritage.
She lost her daughter, Carol Ann Demont, in December of 2012. The
eldest of four children, Margaret was predeceased by her sister,
Jeanie B. McGrath, and her brother, Robert Burton.
She is survived by her daughters, Jean C. Carbonell of West
Barnstable, Cynthia C. Boudreau of Ashburnham; 9 grandchildren; 14
great grandchildren; her sister, Catherine Kaplan of Tampa, FL; and
several nieces and nephews and their children. She also leaves behind
many friends and neighbors. Margaret will be missed by all who knew
her.
Services will be private and burial will take place at the
Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
