Mary Katherine "Kay" Bruce, 86, of Chatham, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2025, following a brief stay in the hospital. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Donald Bruce.

Kay is survived by her two sons, Robert Jeffery Bruce of Lakewood, Colorado, and Brian Robert Bruce of Chatham, Massachusetts, her sister Jane Farland, and her cherished granddaughters, Nichole Bruce of Lakewood, Colorado, and Elizabeth Bruce of Harwich, Massachusetts. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends who will miss her warmth and kindness.

A dedicated nurse at Cape Cod Hospital for over 30 years, Kay touched countless lives with her compassion and care. After retiring, she pursued her love of painting, spent countless hours at the beach in Chatham, and enjoyed lively games of cribbage with her friends at the Chatham Senior Center. Kay and her husband Bob shared many happy winters camping in Crystal River, Florida, where they made lifelong memories.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services. Kay will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends for her generosity of spirit and her unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Her family extends their heartfelt thanks to those who have offered their support during this difficult time.
