

Mary Ellen, born to Patrick and Bridget Maloney in Brooklyn, New York on August 10, 1922, lived in the Bronx throughout her childhood. Upon marrying the late Michael J. McGillycuddy after the completion of his service in World War II, she moved to Suffern, New York where she lived for the last sixty-nine years nurturing all her family with a loving, warm heart. Mary spent her summers with her family on Cape Cod for fifty-nine years and there was nothing she cherished more than her time there surrounded by her children and her grandchildren and their spouses, as well as her great grandchildren. She loved America and she treasured her Irish roots.
Mary is survived by her four children, Elizabeth Ferrara and her husband John, Kathleen McGillycuddy and her husband Ron Logue, Eugene McGillycuddy and his wife Sandra, and Daniel McGillycuddy and his wife Alice. She is also survived by ten beloved grandchildren, their spouses, twelve great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Calling Hours will be held at Doane, Beal, & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Rt. 134, South Dennis, MA on Thursday, August 6th, from 4-7 PM, and a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Pius X Church, 5 Barbara St., South Yarmouth, MA at 11 AM on Friday, August 7th. Burial will conclude at MA National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne, MA at 12:45 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family is requests that any donations be made to Sacred Heart Parish in Suffern, New York.
